Suzanne Kolb is the Chief Brand Officer of Group Nine Media - a digital-first media company home to Thrillist, NowThis, The Dodo & Seeker. In her role, Kolb is responsible for the growth of the company's brands, expanded content creation and production, and business development across the organization. She also oversees Group Nine Studios -- a new division focused on the development and production of programming formats of all lengths, across all platforms including linear TV, social, OTT and digital. Group Nine recently acquired Emmy nominated, Cannes Lion and Sundance Film Festival award-winning production studio, JASH, which is now a part of Group Nine Studios.
Kolb has a rich history in building content brands and businesses across platforms. Most recently, Kolb was EVP/GM of Discovery Digital Networks, overseeing Discovery’s original digital properties including the launch of Seeker, formation of SourceFed Studios and Discovery VR. Prior to that, Suzanne served as President of E! Entertainment where she oversaw the growth and multi-platform success of the global pop culture brand. Originally joining the cable network in 2005, she launched such franchises as Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Chelsea Lately, and greenlit the network’s first original scripted series, The Royals. Earlier in her career, Kolb was EVP of Marketing at The WB Television Network launching generation-defining series including Dawson’s Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gilmore Girls.
