Chanel Pysnik serves as Director of Development for CNN Original Series, where she oversees creative development strategy on the West Coast. In this role, she is responsible for expanding CNN and HLN’s Original Series rosters by identifying and executing new non-fiction projects from development through series greenlight. Chanel has increased the networks’ programming lineup with such series as American Dynasties: The Kennedys, Unmasking a Killer, Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History, The Radical Story of Patty Hearst, Race for the White House, The History of Comedy, Declassified: The Untold Stories of American Spies, and United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell.
Prior to joining CNN in February 2014, Chanel was in Alternative Programming at The CW Network, working on projects like America’s Next Top Model, Whose Line is it Anyway?, Breaking Pointe, and Oh Sit!
Chanel holds a degree in Sociology from Princeton University.
