David Hillman currently serves as Vice President, Reality Programming, for Lifetime and is responsible for developing, overseeing and launching new primetime non-fiction series for the network.
His extensive work includes the Emmy® Award-nominated series, Project Runway, for which he served as an executive producer. Additionally, he oversaw all of the Project Runway franchise projects: Project Runway: All Stars, Threads, Project Runway: Junior, Project Runway: Under the Gunn and Project Runway: Fashion Start Up.
Recent projects under his purview have included the series’ Glam Masters with host Laverne Cox, My Partner Knows Best with Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, This Time Next Year hosted by Cat Deeley and the special Corey Feldman: Moment of Truth to name a few.
Hillman oversees Lifetime’s Beyond the Headlines docu-series, which showcase new interviews and footage profiling the people and events featured in some of the networks’ tent-pole premieres. Hillman’s extensive television credits prior to joining Lifetime include a supervising producer role on SOAPnet’s I Wanna Be a Soap Star and five years as a senior producer on ABC’s Behind Closed Doors with Joan Lunden. Additionally, he served as a senior producer on Fox’s Guinness World Records.
Hillman began his career in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency, followed by stints in development at Cowlip Productions and New World Entertainment. A California native, he is a graduate of UCLA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science – International Relations. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their daughter.
