Steve Harris

Co Founder & Head of Non Fiction & Digital

Workaholics Entertainment Group

Steve Harris began his filmmaking career directing music videos & documentaries. He was an executive at both TLC & A&E prior to co-founding and running Marlon Wayans reality production company, Workaholics Entertainment.

With his producing partners Marlon Wayans & Rick Alvarez, Harris executive produced the Netflix comedy special, Woke-ish, The NBC series I Can Do That , the award wining documentary Sweet Micky For President. And created the comedy competition show Funniest Wins which launched on TBS and featured then unknown talent, Tiffany Haddish.

Harris has blazed trails in the digital world. While an executive at TLC he developed and launched the networks first digital series, Makeover Train. Harris co-founded and raised $2m for Marlon Wayans’ digital startup the comedy platform, What The Funny. And this year Harris was awarded a daytime Emmy as an executive producer for best digital series, The Bay which streams on Amazon.

In the most poetic of gestures of art imitating life Wayans went as far as to immortalize Harris and based the tv character Stevie, on his  NBC sitcom titled Marlon, on his real life best friend and former roommate, Steve Harris.

Team Workaholics Entertainment currently have a healthy and diverse content slate with projects in development with Steve Harvey and John Legend
