Robert DeFranco is the Vice President, Sales and Development for The Future Group and a technology and media executive with 20+ years’ experience in film, TV, digital content, advertising, augmented reality and mobile applications. Robert has designed and developed mobile applications, games, software portals, run social media campaigns delivering millions of impressions and has worked on more than 35+ films, television shows and commercials.
He joins The Future Group from InVision, the leading design collaboration platform funded by Accel Partners, FirstMark Capital and Iconiq Capital.
Prior to InVision, Robert was Head of Production for A7SLE Films, where he managed development and production for the company’s slate of projects and social media partnerships. At A7SLE, he sold shows to Fox, CMT, and produced films, TV, and digital series including Loosies, The Last Word, Jennie Garth: A little Bit Country, College Humor, Youtube, and GQ.
Robert is the co-author of the Little Brown novel After the Red Rain, co-creator of the Boom graphic novel Protocol: Orphans (sold to Fox) and the director of Miramax Films Telling You.
Prior to A7sle, Robert was the CEO of 211me, Inc. an iPhone app company. The company created the first celebrity iPhone apps, the first iPhone contact sharing app and numerous games including Vampire Transformers, and Attack of the Killer Bugs.
Robert holds a BA in Telecommunications and Electronic Media from The Ohio State University.
