Justin Comins serves as vice president of development at Spoke Studios, a creative content company that operates under the banner of Wheelhouse Entertainment, the media enterprise forged in 2018 by producer and media entrepreneur Brent Montgomery. Creating engaging, provocative and talent-driven content across a variety of platforms, Spoke Studios explores unique points of view with programming that spotlights extraordinary worlds, dynamic characters and human ingenuity.
Comins joined Spoke Studios in March 2018 after two years with prodco Leftfield Pictures, during which time he developed the series Tackle My Ride for NFL network, and numerous lifestyle shows for networks such as FYI and Animal Planet. Prior to Leftfield, he was a producer and director on series including American Idol for FOX, Barter Kings for A&E, Way Out West for TruTV, and Extreme Builds for A&E. Other projects include Campfire Tales for Syfy and several green-lit series for Animal Planet, including Warriors and Wolves on which he served as EP.
Comins also has produced numerous commercials and short films including The Farm, which won a variety of awards on the festival circuit; he also served as assistant director on the feature film Murder in the Dark. In 2008 Justin created and produced the “BEAT 1960!” political campaign that is now archived in the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
