Co-Owner & CEO

Go To Team

Shawn Moffatt is COO and Managing Partner of Go To Team, an elite group of Staff camera crews built to shoot high-end content for major networks, production companies, agencies and brands across the US. Their list of clients is a who’s who of traditional linear broadcast outlets to cutting-edge digital media and SVODs. He’s also immersed in eSports and the new reality of video gaming as an opportunity for traditional storytelling.

Go To Team is spearheaded by Moffatt, who believes there’s no saturation point for good content. By partnering with clients to tell great stories there’s no better way to compete in the marketplace. GTT has a twenty-year history in lifestyle entertainment most notably shooting the pilot and DPing three seasons of HGTV’s hit, Fixer Upper for High Noon Entertainment. “We were happy to be on their team and be part of such a great show with great people”, says Moffatt. Go To Team still does plenty of renovation shows, but has additionally taken the unscripted model into their sports entertainment portfolio and are now shooting shows for WWE and others.

In 2015 Moffatt added eSports clients to the company’s content capture business. Go To Team is now a leader for eSports and video gaming, working alongside Turner’s ELEAGUE and Activision/Blizzard, telling the stories of teams and players all over the world. They also shoot for Major League Gaming, EpicGames, The Score, and more. In an unprecedented move they brought on a 15-year-old consultant to ideate authentically in the space.

Since bringing their unscripted storytelling prowess to bear on eSports, Go To Team has seen incredible growth and the emergence of a fascinating new group of Generation Z fans who are voracious consumers of video content. ”The “And” in traditional linear and digital is important. They’re complementary” says Moffatt. He continues to be excited about telling great stories in video gaming and his eleven and seven-year-old sons certainly reinforce his burgeoning interest in eSports!
