Adam Reed has been collaborating with Thinkfactory Media Founder & CEO, Leslie Greif, since 2004 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production for Thinkfactory Media including both creative and business development, along with day-to-day production across all series. Reed has been instrumental in transitioning the company into a thriving mainstay network supplier and is an integral part of every production the company produces.
Reed’s programming is consistently breaking records and changing the face of television. The premiere of the unscripted series Mama June: From Not to Hot delivered 2.3 million viewers making it the highest series premiere ever for WE tv. Simultaneously, the debut of scripted series, Sun Records (CMT) attracted nearly 3 million fans, making the network the most watched night of CMT originals in the channel’s history.
Upon starting out in the business, Reed rapidly gained a reputation for bringing a unique perspective to every genre of reality television, and in 2011 he became the youngest producer ever to be included in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Reality Power List.” He started Thinkfactory’s rapid growth by co-creating Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and his ambition and drive was instrumental in developing the large unscripted slate that the company has today. He executive produced over eight seasons of the hit franchise Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, which has resulted in various spinoff series including, the above mentioned Mama June: From Hot to Not and Family Boot Camp. He additionally executive produced and franchised TV One’s highest rated series in the history of the network, R&B Divas, with the spinoff R&B Divas: Los Angeles.
Additional scripted and unscripted credits include: #Preached (go90), Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le (Lifetime), Million Dollar Matchmaker (WE tv), Married by Mom & Dad (TLC), Preachers’ Daughters (Lifetime), The Donner Party (The Weather Channel), 4th and Loud (AMC), Big Giant Swords (Discovery), and Teach: Tony Danza (A&E).
Prior to joining Thinkfactory, Adam made his mark in the commercial industry by creating and directing the largest campaign in the history of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. Reed garnered national and international acclaim as it became one of the most successful commercial campaigns ever created. In addition, he was shortlisted at the Cannes International Advertising Festival for a spot he directed for the Philadelphia Phillies, and continues to work with some of the largest advertising agencies in the world to direct and produce various commercial spots and branded entertainment campaigns. He also recently authored his first children’s book, Bee in the Sea, which has already received national attention, awarded three first-place Royal Dragonfly Awards, including Best New Author, and named the 2016 Finalist in Next Gen’s Indie Book Awards.
