Gil Goldschein

Chairman & CEO
Bunim/Murray Productions

Gil Goldschein serves as Chairman and CEO of Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP) responsible for managing the daily operation as well as the growth of the company as both a production studio and international business entity. Prior to being elevated to Chairman and CEO in April 2015, Goldschein served as President.

Goldschein has played an integral role in BMP’s fiscal and production growth over the last 15 years and the company is thriving under his leadership. He has strengthened the management team and overall capabilities of BMP’s infrastructure in order to vastly increase the number of projects the company develops and produces on an annual basis and has consistently expanded the breadth and scope of BMP’s offering, having launched BMP Digital, BMP Latin, BMP’s documentary division, BMP East and most recently structuring exclusive pod deals with PB&J and WikkedCat.

Goldschein, who previously served as General Counsel, has negotiated an unprecedented number of development and production deals, including the deal to produce Emmy Award-winning Project Runway as well as the partnership with Ryan Seacrest Productions to produce Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since taking over as CEO, he has guided the internal greenlight process, leading to the sale of more than 30 new projects across 20 cable outlets and digital platforms. Currently, BMP has numerous projects across a wide array of genres in production at multiple cable networks and digital outlets, contributing to BMP’s robust programming lineup and continued growth. BMP’s current projects include I Am Cait, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Dash Dolls, Stewarts & Hamiltons and Total Divas(E!), The Real World and The Challenge(MTV), Emmy Award-winning Project Runway and Project Runway All Stars(Lifetime), Bad Girls Club and Fix My Mom(Oxygen), Valerie’s Home Cooking starring Valerie Bertinelli (Food Network) and Born This Way(A&E). Additionally, its film entity, BMP Films, has produced Pedro (MTV), Shadow BillionaireAutism: The Musical (HBO) which received two Emmy Awards, and most recently, the Emmy-nominated Valentine Road (HBO).

Goldschein also played a key role in expanding BMP’s global footprint by negotiating Banijay Group’s acquisition of the company in 2010, providing BMP with access to Banijay’s international formats and Banijay with distribution of BMP formats to the international marketplace.

Goldschein was included in The Hollywood Reporter’s 15th Annual Next Generation Class of 2008, honoring executives 35 and under. The Association of Media & Entertainment Counsel recognized Goldschein’s deal-making prowess with the PWC Brandhorst Memorial Dealmaker Award. Additionally, he is a member of the International Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as well as a board member of the Forum on Law, Culture and Society. Goldschein holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
