Barry Poznick founded ZOO Productions in 1994 and built it into a multi-million dollar, international brand which was acquired by All3 Media. Currently he serves as MGM's President of Unscripted Television under Mark Burnett.
Poznick captures the attention of networks and viewers by creating and producing a wide-range of series that are topical, creative and have a comedic P.O.V. His success is often credited to his ability to work with a wide range of comedic talent, including celebrities like Joan Rivers, Jeff Foxworthy, Cedric the Entertainer, Chelsea Handler, Ken Jeong, DL Hughley, Michael Ian Black, Anthony Anderson and Donald Faison.
Poznick’s most successful shows have had a strong focus on combining real-life with comedy, including MTV’s THE BLAME GAME (135 episodes) and FOX’s ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? (more than 100 network hours and 350 original episodes for syndication). In addition, Poznick was Executive Producer of many of MTV’s Spring Break, Summer Beach House and Snowed-In specials which launched new series, including THE MORNING AFTER and THE MANDY MOORE SHOW. He also produced MTV’s BUCKWILD, Spike’s THE JOE SCHMO SHOW, NBC's IT'S WORTH WHAT? and THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE with Jeff Foxworthy on GSN.
Upcoming projects include a new MTV hip-hop competition series and ABC's new Steve Harvey project.
