TV One

Jubba is the Senior Director of Programming & Production at TV One where he oversees network reality hits R&B DIVAS, UNSUNG, and gospel gala, THE STELLAR AWARDS. He is also at the helm of several of the Network’s successful original feature films, including White Water, Second Sight, and soon to be released, Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story.

Jubba graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Communications & Film. Shortly after graduation he won a position in the prestigious NBC Page Program in New York City where he worked for the Corporate Communications Department assisting network president Bob Wright. Quickly moving up the production ladder, Jubba, at age 23, was hired by NBC News as the youngest field producer on the staff. After two years of hard news coverage in the New York area Jubba changed production genres and took a position as a producer for the daytime talk show, ROLONDA.

In 1997 Jubba moved to Los Angeles and was hired by Quincy Jones and David Salzman to produce VIBE, an urban late night talk show. Since making his way West, Jubba has produced everything from MTV programming to game and dating shows. He has produced and developed video content for web sites as well as presentation tapes and pilots for Dick Clark Productions and TV Guide Channel. Along the way he’s made producing pit stops at CBS Television’s BIG BROTHER, UPN’s THE PLAYER, TBS’ THE MANSION, NBC’s CELEBRITY COOKING SHOWDOWN, BET’s COLLEGE HILL, and Fox Television’s TRADING SPOUSES.

Most notably, Jubba produced the Emmy nominated, controversial and critically acclaimed Ice Cube/FX series BLACK/WHITE, and received five NAACP Image Awards for the TV One acclaimed series, UNSUNG. He is an active member of the Television Academy and has been a dedicated mentor to many producers, executives, and college students.
