Jean Shi serves as Vice President of Development, Oxygen Media. Based in Los Angeles, she is responsible for curating and developing original concepts, unique formats, and fresh new talent targeting the network’s young, modern female audience. Since joining Oxygen in 2014, Shi has served as a creative executive behind the development of Pretty, Strong and the upcoming series, Douglas Family Gold.

Before Oxygen, Shi served as Vice President of Development and Co-Executive Producer for GRB Entertainment, where she developed multiple pilots, specials, and series including WeTv’s Pregnant & Dating, TLC’s Sex Sent Me to the ER, BIO’s Model Killers, E!’s Fame In The Family and NatGeo’s Showdown of the Unbeatables. Prior to GRB, Shi was Director of Development for Lion Television. She has also worked in production and served as a producer on numerous projects for networks including Fox, Discovery, Bravo, Travel Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, MTV, CMT, HGTV, among others. She is a graduate of Stanford University.
