Loren Ruch is the Vice President of Programming, Partnerships and Special Events for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, where he oversees many of the networks’ high-profile specials and series including Ellen’s Design Challenge, Property Brothers, Rehab Addict: Detroit, Brother vs Brother, White House Christmas, HGTV Dream Home, HGTV Smart Home, Urban Oasis and more. He is also the programming liaison with Hearst Publications for HGTV Magazine and the programming point person for ad sales partnerships.
Prior to his position at Scripps Networks Interactive, Ruch spent ten years at Fox’s Good Day LA and the nationally-syndicated Good Day Live, where he was the recipient of five Emmy awards for his work. He started his career in daytime talk and game shows including Home & Family, Love Connection and Family Feud.
On-air, you may recognize Ruch from DIY Network’s That’s So 80’s and That’s So 90’s shows, and as a trend and fashion correspondent on many popular makeover shows including How Do I Look?, Good Day LA and TV Guide’s Best Dressed List.
Ruch is a passionate supporter of many charitable organizations including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising organization. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and theater arts.
