Jon Adler is the Director of Program Development at CNN, based in New York City. In this position, he is responsible for cultivating relationships within the creative community and developing original programming across a variety of CNN platforms. As the Director of Program Development, Adler is accountable for the development as well as the management and coordination of show concepts for CNN Original Series.

Adler also resumes the role of identifying external production companies as series partners - a responsibility that entails working both individually and in-tune with producers to develop content for CNN. His communications with these partners range from pitching to pilot and presenting to series order. Lastly, Adler is also required to foster strong relationships with the selling community.

In addition to nonfiction series development, Adler assists CNN's documentary banner, CNNFilms. He works closely with the Talent Recruitment and Development team to identify a variety of on-air talent for all of CNN's platforms.

Adler has worked on a variety of different projects for CNN, some of which include but are not limited to: Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, Finding Jesus, Sole Survivor, Lady Valor, Documented, Blackfish, The Wonder List with Bill Weir, This is Life with Lisa Ling, Fresh Dressed, Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me, Somebody's Gotta Do It with Mike Rowe, The Hunt with John Walsh, The Sixties, High Profits, and The Seventies.

Prior to joining CNN, Adler worked as an assistant at CAA, under the direction of Olivia Metzger and Eric Wattenberg.
