J.C. Mills is an agent in ICM Partners’ International Television and Media Department’s New York office. He represents production companies, writers, directors and showrunners in the non-scripted/documentary space.
Before joining ICM, J.C. was the Director of Development at the National Geographic Channel in New York. There, he oversaw the development of pilots, specials and series, and also served as the primary liaison for European producers and international formats. While at the network, he executive produced None of the Above and the special Cycling High: Doping to Win. In addition, he oversaw the development of projects such as American Genius, Inside Underground Poker, Duck Quacks Don’t Echo and Lords of War.
J.C. started his television career as an assistant to Debra Goldfarb at Rebel Entertainment Partners. He then worked on the International Distribution team at Shine/Reveille in Los Angeles before being transferred to their London office where he served as a sales executive for the UK, Ireland and EMEA. He later moved back to Los Angeles as the VP, Acquisitions & Business Development, North America for Zodiak Rights.
J.C. has a B.A. in History from New York University and a J.D. from Touro Law Center. He is also admitted to practice law in New York.
