DJ Nurre serves as executive vice president, programming and development, at 3 Ball Entertainment where he heads up all development for the production company, focusing on the creation of IP for broadcast, cable, digital and OTT, and managing 3 Ball’s growing casting and development team.

A seasoned showrunner, Nurre has championed some of 3 Ball’s highest-rated and longest-running series, including mega-hit Bar Rescue (more than 125 episodes have been commissioned to date), spin-off Hungry Investor and Catch a Contractor for Spike; My Cat From Hell for Animal Planet; LA Hair for WE tv; and Flying Wild Alaska, which ran for three seasons on Discovery.

His other credits as a producer and finishing editor include The Biggest Loser, MasterChef, Beauty and The Geek, Breaking Bonaduce and For Love Or Money.

Nurre joined 3 Ball (then called 3 Ball Productions) as an editor in 2004, rising through the ranks over 12 years to become a high-level showrunner on myriad series, while also serving as an executive in the company’s development and current programming departments.

Prior to his current role, Nurre was senior vice president of development and current.
