Chris Linn

Chris Linn is Executive Vice President of MTV Programming and Head of Production. In this role, Linn is responsible for managing some of MTV’s biggest hits, including Jersey Shore, Catfish, Snooki & JWOW and the upcoming docu-series Washington Heights. In addition to long form series, Linn oversees the development of specials programming, including the recent Emmy nominated special It Gets Better. Linn also spearheads MTV’s original movies, including the most recent film Disconnected, which addressed the complexities of managing your digital life, Made the Movie, based on the successful MTV series, and original horror franchise My Super Psycho Sweet 16. In addition to his programming responsibilities, Linn also oversees the physical production of all MTV series. He is based at MTV Networks New York headquarters, Prior to joining MTV, he held several positions at Nickelodeon, where he oversaw physical production of both live action and animation projects. In 2002, he served as Vice President of Production at MTV Networks’ Spike TV, where he oversaw production for all of that network’s original series, pilots, specials and production management for on-air promotions. Linn graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Directing & Performance.
