Marc Scarpa is an entrepreneur specializing in participatory media. He has directed, produced and/or executive produced over 1000 original TV & digital programs since 1995 which have garnered billions of viewer engagements and enabled tens of millions in sponsorships and financing, he is a respected creative and business leader in media.
Currently he serves as founder and CEO of DeFiance.tv, the first TV & Digital network with exclusive broadcast coverage of alternative finance, culture and technology. The all media linear and video on demand experience reaches 150M HH globally via over the top, over the air, desktop, mobile and other connected devices.
DeFiance.tv has pioneered AI Video in unscripted content and news media. Raxana, the world's first AI powered virtual twin news anchor, delivers breaking news every two hours in up to 80 languages on the channel globally.
Past career highlights include the Townhall with President Clinton, X Factor USA Digital, Grammy Live, MySpace Live, Oscars Best Dressed, Youtube Originals 2015 slate, Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day, League of Legends World Championships 2012, Backstage at the Tony Awards, Woodstock ’99, Milarepa Festivals ’96,’97 & ’98 and the groundbreaking NHK Sim-TV internet and live tv simulcast in 1995 in addition to the world’s first “netcast”, Agrippa - The Transmission in 1992, a collaboration between author William Gibson & artist Dennise Ashbaugh.
