Amazon Studios' CJ Yu to keynote at Realscreen West!
As part of his current role as Head of Unscripted Development, Global Formats, CJ Yu leads a team that oversees unscripted slates for newer Prime Video territories such as Australia, Canada, Middle East, and supports the development of unscripted originals across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latam. He drives the expansion of hit original franchises around the world, such as All Or Nothing, LOL: Last One Laughing, Luxe Listings, and Wild and Free.
In this keynote conversation, CJ Yu will discuss what he and his team are looking to achieve with their producing partners on the local originals front, their strategy around global unscripted formats, and provide perspective on the kind of series they’re looking to put into the development pipeline.

Earlier this year, veteran television executive Heather Olander – previously EVP of alternative development and programming for NBCUniversal’s USA Network, Syfy and Peacock – was named as the head of unscripted programming at The CW, a newly created position that signals an important shift in the strategy for the U.S. broadcast network.

Arthur Smith to join Realscreen West for keynote conversation!
Realscreen is excited to announce the first keynote conversation for the upcoming edition of Realscreen West — Arthur Smith, founder of the prodco A. Smith & Co. and chairman of Tinopolis USA.
Currently in his 40th year in the television business, Smith has spearheaded more than 200 shows for more than 50 networks, including some of the longest-running unscripted franchises on television today, such as Hell’s Kitchen for Fox and American Ninja Warrior for NBC. Other recent projects of note include the long-running Unsung for TV One, Floor is Lava for Netflix, and Profiled: The Black Man for Discovery+ and OWN.
In addition to creating larger-than-life formats, Smith has led the company’s commitment to hiring and growing diverse talent. As part of that commitment, A. Smith & Co. has partnered with The Handy Foundation, which creates a framework for networks, showrunners and production companies to implement diverse hiring practices.
Smith’s keynote conversation will also come directly on the heels of the launch of his non-fiction book, Reach, which chronicles his career in television thus far and takes the reader behind the scenes of dozens of pivotal moments in sports and television history.
