Speaker Alison Shurter
Alison Shurter is currently the Director of Development at Los-Angeles based production company, Citizen Jones.
During her time at Citizen Jones, Shurter has helped steer the creative direction of the company’s wide range of original series and features, and expanded its network of broadcast partners. Recent series credits include "The Einstein Challenge" with Peyton Manning for History, and Season 2 and 3 of hit franchise "How To Become A Tyrant" for Netflix.
Shurter got her start in development working under Executive Producer Dan Partland and Development Executive Nicole Zien at DocShop Productions, where she helped develop series including American Style (CNN) and Death At the Mansion: Rebecca Zahau (Oxygen), before working briefly in production at Shed Media on crime series Criminal Confessions and License To Kill (Oxygen). Shurter's passions in documentary television are vast, and she always gets excited by new opportunities to show people something they didn't expect that they wanted to learn.
She joined the Citizen Jones team as Manager of Development in 2020.
