Billy Taylor is currently executive producer/ showrunner for the Emmy nominated Bravo showFlipping Out. Now in its eight season,Flipping Outis set to premiere in the summer of 2015.
Mr. Taylor started his career at MTV in 1994. In 2009, he executive produced T.I.’s Road to Redemption: 45 Days to Go, a uniquely formatted show starring the rap music superstar. In 2005, Mr. Taylor executive produced the acclaimed MTV hit, 8th & Ocean, where he was responsible for the creative development and production of the series. Prior to that, he ran production on an array of documentary shows for MTV includingTrue Life,Diary,After the Tsunami andAfter the Storm. Mr. Taylor also worked as a staff producer for MTV Productions overseeing such shows asTRL Uncensored,Ozzfest Uncensored,House of Style and various Spring Break and Summer House programming.
Mr. Taylor also served as Senior Vice President of current and development for Kinetic Content, where he oversaw series and pilots for History, A&E, CW, ITV 2, OWN, E! and various other networks. He also oversaw development of unscripted projects for all networks including pilots, presentation tapes and sizzle reels.
Mr. Taylor also was the showrunner/ executive producer on earlier seasons of Bravo’sFlipping Out, where he oversaw production since its series premiere in August 2007 through season four in 2010. Mr. Taylor also executive produced Bravo’sKell on EarthandWork Out. Prior to this, he was Supervising Producer for NBC’s pilotHired Help.
Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in History. He is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
