Gil Goldschein

Gil Goldschein serves as Chairman and CEO of Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP) responsible for managing the daily operation as well as the growth of the company as both a production studio and international business entity. Prior to being elevated to Chairman and CEO in April 2015, Goldschein served as President.

Goldschein has played an integral role in BMP’s fiscal and production growth over the last 14 years and the company is thriving under his leadership. He has strengthened the management team and overall capabilities of BMP’s infrastructure in order to vastly increase the number of projects the company develops and produces on an annual basis and has consistently expanded the breadth and scope of BMP’s offering, having launched BMP Digital, BMP Latin, BMP’s documentary division and most recently its New York office.

Goldschein, who previously served as General Counsel, has negotiated an unprecedented number of development and production deals, including the deal to produce Emmy Award-winningProject Runwayand partner with Ryan Seacrest Productions to produceKeeping Up with the Kardashians. Over the past seven years, he has been instrumental in maintaining the company’s focus and guiding the internal greenlight process together with Murray, leading to the sale and production of more than 30 new shows across 14 networks and driving a 300 percent increase in revenue. Currently, BMP has numerous projects across a wide array of genres in production at multiple cable networks and digital outlets, contributing to BMP’s robust programming lineup and continued growth. BMP’s current projects includeThe Real World andThe Challenge (MTV),Keeping up with the KardashiansandTotal Divas(E!), and Emmy Award-winningProject Runway(Lifetime). Additionally, its film entity, BMP Films, has produced Pedro (MTV), Shadow Billionaire, Autism: The Musical (HBO) which received two Emmy Awards, and most recently, the Emmy-nominated Valentine Road (HBO).

Goldschein also played a key role in expanding BMP’s global footprint by negotiating Banijay Group’s acquisition of the company in 2010, providing BMP with access to Banijay’s international formats and Banijay with distribution of BMP formats to the international marketplace.

Goldschein was included in The Hollywood Reporter’s 15th Annual Next Generation Class of 2008, honoring executives 35 and under. The Association of Media & Entertainment Counsel recognized Goldschein’s deal-making prowess with the PWC Brandhorst Memorial Dealmaker Award. Additionally, he is a member of the International Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as well as a board member of the Forum on Law, Culture and Society. Goldschein holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
