Mark Freeman joined Veria Living in 2012 as a Programing Executive and Executive Producer for the Network. He oversees a number of the studio and field shows on the network, as well as developing new programs, finding on-air talent and coordinating show support with public relations, marketing and online.
Mark was hired by GSN (Game Show Network) in 2010 as an Executive Director of Original Programming and Development, and oversaw all aspects of production and coverage of numerous GSN programs such asBaggage(w/Jerry Springer) &Lingo(w/Bill Engvall). He developed relationships with agents & production companies who were new to the network and brought in a number of well-received projects. Mark worked closely with the development team on new concepts and talent choices. Freeman joined the Fine Living Network (FLN) in 2006 and was responsible for development and production of all original series and specials, and had direct oversight of all network casting. Some of the well-received original series and specials that he had developed and oversaw were the New York Emmy nominated showCloset Cases, Shopping with Chefs, Dinner Date, Freakiest Foodsas well as a majority of the highly successful “Frankenspecials” such asBodacious BBQ’s, X-Treme X-Mas Decorations, 30 Bizarre InventionsandEasy Landscaping Projects.
In addition, Freeman developed and produced “Advertiser-Integrated” and “Branded Partnership" content for episodic, hour long specials, and short-form Interstitial programs with such brands as Walt Disney, Purina, Moen, Hearst Publications, Westin Hotels, Mitsubishi and Cookie Magazine.
Prior to Fine Living, Freeman was a producer working on shows such asAmerica’s Next Top Model, Punk’d, Dr. Phil, Tough Crowd w/Colin Quinn, Battle of the Network Reality StarsandAccess Hollywood. He was also a Creative Executive with Harvey Keitel’s production company The Goatsingers, as well as a freelance writer/producer at Comedy Central, Lifetime and The Sundance Channel.
