SUMMIT SHOWDOWN: INTERNATIONAL PITCH COMPETITION

Realscreen Summit's highly-anticipated live international pitch competition is back and better than ever with the addition of TWO (2) $20,000 development deals up for grabs for the 2022 competition.

Entries are now open for the Summit Showdown, where producers and content creators vie for the opportunity to pitch a new, not yet commissioned unscripted or non-fiction one-off program or series. This year, we’re excited to announce the addition of network partners National Geographic and WE tv who will each offer one (1) $20,000 development deal to a winning project for their network. That means two lucky winners will be crowned at the live pitch competition taking place Tuesday, January 30 at Realscreen Summit.

In addition to the entry form below, entrants MUST submit a maximum three-minute video sizzle reel or pitch and a one-page paper pitch. Before submitting, entrants must read the creative brief for the network they want to be considered for:

Video Upload Specifications: Frame Rate: max 30fps. Bitrate: 800kbits/sec. Quality: Best. Duration: Maximum three-minute sizzle reel or video pitch. Size: Maximum width 360px, regardless of aspect ratio Audio format: AAC Channels: Stereo or Mono. Rate: 44.1Khz Prepare for Internet Streaming: Fast Start, or Fast Start - Compressed Header As a guideline, this should produce videos that are less than 5MB per 30 seconds. Please do not upload files which exceed that guideline. Before selecting your files, please ensure that you have entered a working title (above) for the pitch. By submitting this application to the Summit Showdown I confirm that I have completed and submitted a signed copy of the Summit Showdown Submission Release Form, and have freely decided to submit the above-noted project to the Summit Showdown at Realscreen Summit 2022. Submissions without a signed release form will not be considered.
