Arthur Smith founded A. Smith & Co. Productions in 2000, producing well over 2,500 hours of programming for 43 networks with budgets totaling over a billion dollars since. Arthur has served as executive producer on all productions, including the Emmy® and People’s Choice Award nominated hit show “Hell’s Kitchen;” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “American Ninja Warrior,” “Ellen’s Design Challenge,” “Unsung,” “Full Throttle Saloon,” “Celebrity Crime Files,” “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura,” “Wizard Wars,” ““UFC Countdown,”  “Joe Rogan Questions Everything,” “Pros Vs Joes,” “Trading Spaces,” “I Survived A Japanese Game Show,” “The Swan,”  “American Gangster,” and “Paradise Hotel,” to name just a few.

Smith’s producing career began at CBC Network Sports in 1982. He directed and executive produced major sporting events worldwide, including three Olympic Games, and was named head of CBC Sports at age 28. Following CBC, Smith spent four years as senior vice president of Dick Clark Productions, where he served as a producer and executive producer. Smith went on to become Senior Vice President of MCA Television Group in 1995. During his tenure there, Smith garnered commitments for shows from ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS, while rejuvenating MCA's first run division with syndication deals.

Prior to launching A. Smith & Co., Smith was executive vice president in charge of all programming, production and news for FOX SPORTS, where he launched 22 sports networks and was the executive producer on over 4,500 events and thousands of hours of original programming annually.

As a youth, he acted in feature films, television sitcoms and television commercials. Smith studied communications at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he won numerous awards for his inventive productions and graduated first in his class. Smith serves on the boards of several organizations, and has advised major media companies and clients such as Paul Allen and Gemstar/TV Guide.
