Ruby has been a BBC Entertainment Commissioner for the past twelve years. (Prior to this she was a commissioner at Channel4). In that time, she has commissioned a large raft of programming across the comedy spectrum from large factual reality projects to topical satirical comedy, and new talent led , high concept vehicles. An experienced commissioner, she has overseen many of the BBC’s favourite entertainment titles, including Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, QI, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Dragon’s Den. Developing fresh new talent, and seeking out authentic and innovative ideas and executing them in such a way that they resonate with real people, with real diverse lives is her passion.
