Mark Levine serves as Vice President, Content & Programming for the forthcoming Magnolia Network with Discovery, Inc. Formerly, Levine created and launched hit series at Food Network such as Kids Baking Championship and Supermarket Stakeout while overseeing franchises like Food Network Star, Iron Chef and Cutthroat Kitchen. He created the first kids programming for Food Network, Rachael vs. Guy: Kid’s Cook-Off, which served as a blueprint for hit series, Chopped Jr.
Levine is credited with revitalizing Food Network’s hit shows Worst Cooks in America and The Great Food Truck Race.
He originally joined Scripps Networks to lead digital initiatives including web and mobile for the company’s food brands. He built the digital experience for Cooking Channel from the ground up, and added Food.com to his roster shortly after, developing it into highly-profitable global digital property for the company and the largest user-contributed recipe site in the country.
Previously, Levine was Director of Digital Strategy at SyFy Channel, and before that he oversaw digital for The View, ABC Daytime and SOAPnet in Los Angeles for Disney-ABC. Levine began his digital career by launching an early direct-to-consumer experience for Sony.
Prior to these ventures, Levine was Vice President, Feature Development for producers Lisa Henson and Janet Yang at Columbia Pictures, on such films as The People vs. Larry Flynt, Gattaca and High Crimes.
He is based in Waco, TX and holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
