Mioshi Hill currently serves as Vice President of Non-Fiction Programming and Development for Lifetime and is responsible for developing and overseeing production of non-fiction projects for the network.
Hill, who joined Lifetime in 2015, is responsible for overseeing the development and production of multiple docu-series and non-fiction programs on the network’s unscripted television slate. Amongst many titles, her oversight includes the hit docusoap seriesLittle Women: LA, set to return with a new season in 2020, the upcoming investigative seriesSmart Justicestarring survivor advocate Elizabeth Smart, Laurieann Gibson: Beyond the Spotlight, Ms. T’s Music FactoryandMaking a Model with Yolanda Hadid, among others.
Additionally, Hill also has several movies in development with the Lifetime Originals Movie team, set to premiere throughout 2021, expanding her development work onto the scripted side of the network’s programming slate as well.
Prior to Lifetime, Hill was Senior Vice President of Development and Creative Affairs at Hudsun Media in Los Angeles. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing all cross-platform creative, production and business development for the company. Among the projects she executive produced areHouse of DVFandThe Fabulistfor E!,Living DifferentandI’m Having Their Babyfor Oxygen, Bravo’sPregnant in HeelsandThe Doc Club with Rosie O’Donnellon OWN. In addition to overseeing the television division, Hill was integral to the development of Hudsun’s robust digital entertainment slate, including the launch of the video content for Condé Nast Entertainment’s digital channels ofGlamour,GQandTeen Vogue, as well as producing Yahoo’sStyle Studio w/ Rebecca Minkoffand AOL’sDecoding Style with Nina Garcia. She joined Hudsun Media in 2010 as Vice President of Development and two years later was promoted to Senior Vice President.
From 2006 to 2010, Hill was with High Noon Entertainment, having joined the company as Manager of Development before being named Director in 2008. While there, Hill was involved in the development and launches of such series as History’sWarriors, TLC’sCake Boss,Tough Love,Tough Love CouplesandThe Secrets of Aspenfor VH1 andFamily Stylefor Food Network. Before that, she freelance produced numerous programs, including Food Network’sUnwrapped, and prior to that, began her career in public relations.
Hill earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts in Television-Radio-Film from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
