Ann Marie Redmond is an executive in charge of production at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation where she develops and oversees some of the networks premium unscripted projects. Ann Marie’s current slate includes the gripping true crime series The Detectives which recently won best factual series at the Canadian Screen Awards; the original eight-part docuseries High Arctic Haulers which follows the treacherous journey North made by shipping crews working in the High Arctic; and Enslaved hosted by Samuel Jackson, a six-part documentary series chronicling the horrors of slavery through archeological dives for lost slave ships. Ann Marie also oversees the hit format Dragons Den now in its 14th season,
Previous to joining the CBC as a production executive, Ann Marie was the co-founder of Newroad Media producing factual series including Close Encounters for Discovery Canada and Science Channel US, Curious and Unusual Deaths, and My Wild Affair for PBS and Animal Planet Canada.
Ann-Marie has also worked as an executive producer of programming for Discovery Channel Canada where she oversaw the development and production of hundreds of hours of original Canadian series and format hits including Canada’s Worst Driver and Canada’s Worst Handyman, along with international co-productions including Monster Moves, Austin Stevens Adventures, Journey to the Edge of the Universe, and Earth: The Making of a Planet.
