Robert Wimbish serves as Director of Programing for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, developing show ideas and nurturing them into hits for some of the most beloved television brands in America. Most recently, Wimbish devised the notion to purchase The Brady Bunch house and turn the interior into the set from the successful series that aired during the 1960s and 70s.

Wimbish’s current projects include HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and HGTV Dream Home 2020 Special. He also contributes to some of DIY’s highest-rated series including Barnwood Builders, Salvage Dawgs, and Holmes + Holmes. His previous projects for DIY include Building Alaska, Building Off The Grid, and Maine Cabin Masters.

Wimbish originally joined Scripps Networks in 2005 as member of the company’s Business Affairs team. With more than two decades of experience in the TV industry — from news to production, and later, producer of top programming for CMT — he is credited with bringing the Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott to HGTV, along with several other hit series spanning these networks, plus Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel.

Wimbish holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Virginia Tech and is based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
