David George
CEO
ITV America
David George serves as CEO of ITV America, encompassing production companies ITV Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Sirens Media, Loud TV, Outpost Entertainment, Thinkfactory Media, High Noon, Good Caper Content, Talpa Media US and Twofour America, as well as numerous talent production deals, including partnerships with John Cena, Michael Strahan, La La Anthony and others.
In January 2017, George was named president of ITV America, with oversight of the group’s creative development, production and operations. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Leftfield Entertainment where he helped expand the Leftfield group, spearheading diversification initiatives and overseeing a broad roster of unscripted series, documentaries and live programming across cable, broadcast and OTT platforms (Leftfield Entertainment was acquired by ITV in 2014).
During his eight-year tenure, George has developed such groundbreaking series as Alone for History, music competition series The Four: Battle for Stardom for FOX, and the reimagined breakthrough series Queer Eye for Netflix – winner of three 2018 Emmy Awards including Outstanding Structured Reality Program. His major initiatives also include the franchising of iconic “hidden treasures” series Pawn Stars, alongside AETN’s Tiny House franchise, as well as overseeing shows like History’s Forged in Fire and Counting Cars, Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and critically acclaimed documentary specials such as ESPN Films' Year of the Scab and National Geographic’s Billy the Kid: New Evidence, produced with Kevin Costner. In 2018, George also was instrumental in the US sale of ITV format and UK mega-hit Love Island to broadcast net CBS; the series is currently in pre-production.
George joined Leftfield Pictures in 2010 as an executive producer and rose through the ranks, becoming president of Leftfield Pictures in 2014. He began his career at cable network MTV where he executive produced and oversaw the majority of the decade-long run of iconic series Total Request Live (TRL), as well as other series, live events and specials for the network, including the Emmy-nominated Legally Blonde: The Musical,and pioneered the digital content and streaming strategies for TRLand MTV’s Video Music Awards.
