Prior to Studio71, Ben was Executive Producer and Editor-in-Chief for Ora TV, the digital studio owned by Mexican entrepreneur Carlos Slim. At Ora TV, he produced series featuring Jesse Ventura, William Shatner, and legendary broadcaster Larry King, for which he was nominated for an Emmy. Before arriving in Los Angeles, Ben resided in New York where he worked as an Editorial Producer for CNN/HLN primetime live broadcast for five years, covering breaking news stories such as Hurricane Katrina, for which the network earned a George Foster Peabody Award. On impulse, he left his newsroom career behind to pursue his passion for film and television at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. This is where he fostered his writing, directing and producing skills, working in both narrative and documentary films.
