Brent Montgomery is CEO of ITV America, with oversight of ITV’s US portfolio, including Leftfield Pictures, ITV Entertainment, Sirens Media, Loud TV, Outpost Entertainment, Thinkfactory Media, High Noon Entertainment, DiGa, Gurney Productions, Red Bandit Media and Kingdom Reign. As the largest independent producer of non-scripted content in the US, ITV America produces more than 800 hours of content and 100 programs, working in partnership with more than 40 networks.
Montgomery began his career in unscripted television with stints on such series as The Bachelor,Wife Swap and Blind Date. His company, Leftfield Pictures, sold its first series (The Principal’s Office) in 2008 and grew rapidly, adding myriad series and hundreds of programming hours to its roster, including the industry-defining franchise Pawn Stars, which launched on History in 2009 and spawned the “hidden treasures” genre of programming. Other Leftfield Pictures series include Alone for History, American Grit for FOX, Cutting It: in the ATL for WE tv, and National Geographic Channel’s recent specials Billy the Kid: The New Evidenceand Brain Surgery Live.
Leveraging the massive success of Pawn Stars, in 2013 Montgomery created Leftfield Entertainment (LFE) – essentially the first US “indie” – acquiring production company Sirens Media (Real Housewives of New Jersey, Killing Fields) and launching production companies Loud TV (Tiny House Nation, Food Porn), Outpost Entertainment (Forged in Fire) and Riot Creative (upcoming series with Vevo). In 2014, ITV acquired a majority stake in Leftfield Entertainment; the deal was completed in 2015, at which time Montgomery became CEO of ITV America.
Current ITV America shows include Pawn Stars, Alone and Forged in Fire (History), Hell’s Kitchen and American Grit with John Cena (FOX), The Real Housewives of New Jersey (Bravo), Killing Fields (Discovery), Tiny House Nation and Food Porn (FYI), Fixer Upper (HGTV), Duck Dynasty (A&E), Cake Boss (TLC), Marriage Boot Camp (WE tv), as well as specials Brain Surgery Live and Billy the Kid:New Evidence with Kevin Costner (both for NatGeo).
