Ted Bookstaver was named Lionsgate Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming Sales in 2016. He is responsible for licensing the Company’s growing slate of unscripted programming to broadcast, cable and digital platforms around the world.
Mr. Bookstaver recently helped negotiate format deals for Matt Kunitz’s survival competition series Kicking & Screaming currently airing on FOX, as well as the highly-anticipated Candy Crush, which premieres on CBS in July. Other titles in Lionsgate’s alternative programming portfolio include Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian,recently renewedfor a second seasonon E!; Monica The Medium on Freeform; and Hellevator on GSN.
Before joining Lionsgate, Mr. Bookstaver served as Vice President of International Distribution at Dick Clark Productions, Inc. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Americas at Shine International. He also worked at Eyeworks International Distribution and had an eight-year tenure at CBS/King World Productions where he oversaw the global licensing, production and programming of game and reality formats, including Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Hollywood Squares and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Mr. Bookstaver holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and a BA degree in History from Washington University in St. Louis.
