Melinda Toporoff is Executive Producer for HISTORY, overseeing development and production of unscripted series and specials for the network. She joined HISTORY in September 2016.
At HISTORY, Toporoff is responsible for the creative oversight of several of the network’s most successful franchises. Her impact was felt immediately when her first series with the network, Swamp People Season 8, delivered 2.5 million viewers, the strongest telecast for the series among A25-54 and A18-49 since 2015. She also oversees Pawn Stars, currently in its fourteenth season, and Hunting Hitler, which just wrapped season two. She is in production on several other current series, development properties and specials.
Toporoff joined HISTORY from Animal Planet where she served as Executive Producer. She executive produced and developed over 400 hours of content including Puppy Bowl, Tanked, My Cat From Hell, Ice Cold Gold, and Ice Lake Rebels. She also served as Executive Producer for Discovery Kids where she developed and produced multiple live action and animated series for kids, including the Emmy Award-winning Peep in the Big Wide World, Jeff Corwin Unleashed, Toddworld and Growing Up Creepie.
Toporoff previously held production and development roles with Walt Disney Television, Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York University and resides in New York.
