Tim Krubsack is executive vice president and head of programming at Z Living, a world-leading cable network offering health entertainment programming that caters to viewers’ rising focus and fascination with living well. Krubsack oversees all original programming, development, scheduling and acquisitions for the network.
A seasoned programmer and innovator of unscripted television, Krubsack has helped evolve the unscripted TV business, developing and bringing to the screen numerous and diverse hit series across various genres.
Prior to Z Living, Krubsack served as senior vice president, alternative programming for Syfy/NBCUniversal, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of the network’s unscripted programming line-up. Growing the number of original hours from 68 to more than 185 per year, Krubsack developed and oversaw the production of the wildly popular Face Off and launched such hits as Paranormal Witness, Heroes of Cosplay, TotalBlackout, Hollywood Treasure and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge. He also headed up Syfy’s production department, overseeing a management team with responsibility for all financial, legal and delivery requirements for the network’s unscripted series.
Before joining Syfy, Krubsack was founder and president of iO Film, a leading digital intermediate post production company providing digital finishing and mastering services to hundreds of independent and studio films, including Best Picture Academy Award-winnerCrash. Privately held, iO Film was sold to The Post Group in 2006.
Krubsack also served as VP, alternative programming for USA and Sci Fi networks under Barry Diller, where he launched the unscripted programming efforts for both networks. He also produced Road Rules and Real World/Road Rules Challenge for MTV, and Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction? and Encounters: The Hidden Truth for FOX.
Krubsack began his career as a commercial editor, before becoming a commercial director and agency producer. He is also founder of the production company Bullet Valley.
