Gary R. Benz is President and CEO of GRB Entertainment, a pioneering production and international distribution company, which he established in 1986. As an entrepreneur and seasoned leader of unscripted television programming, Benz has created and produced more than 3,000 hours of broadcast, cable and syndicated programming including live events, specials and numerous critically acclaimed and award-winning series. Additionally, GRB’s distribution division now reaches more than 190 territories around the globe.

As Executive Producer, Benz has created and produced such successful programs as Intervention (A&E), the 2009 Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Reality Program, and myriad other series including Untold Stories of the ER and Sex Sent Me to the ER (TLC); Pregnant & Dating (WE tv); Showdown of the Unbeatables (National Geographic Channel); Alter-Eco with Adrian Grenier (Planet Green); Next Action Star (NBC); Princes of Malibu (Fox); Aftermath with William Shatner (Bio); and Growing Up Gotti (A&E).

In 2015, Benz served as executive producer of GRB’s first feature film, Bad Night, a teen comedy featuring YouTube stars Lauren Elizabeth Luthringshausen (Love, Lauren Elizabeth) and Jenn McAllister (JennXPenn) which was nominated for Best Feature at the 6th Annual Streamy Awards. That same year, Benz executive produced a documentary special on for HLN called #RedFlag, for which Kim Kardashian also served as executive producer.

Benz has also developed co-productions and forged strategic partnerships internationally, including the 200-episode primetime series, Echt Wahr (Germany's Sat 1); Now See This! (France's TF1 and Discovery Channel); Stuntmasters (Canal +, Alliance Atlantis and U.S. syndication); and AXN: Action TV (Columbia Tri-Star, Fox Family Channel and Sony’s international AXN networks).

Benz is a member of the Directors Guild of America, Writers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He serves as chairman for the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. and is on the board of directors for the Non-Fiction Producers Association (NPA).
