Justin Lacob serves as Vice President of Original Series at Spike TV. Lacob joined Spike in 2011 and currently oversees the development and production of several network series including one of Spike's top hits, the critically acclaimed “Bar Rescue,” now in its fourth season. He has also overseen other unscripted projects at the network including "Hungry Investors," “Savage Family Diggers,” “Tattoo Rescue,” "Repo Games," and "Ten Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty."
Lacob is also a key member of the team responsible for the development of the network’s scripted projects, including the upcoming event series, “Tut,” starring Sir Ben Kingsley, which premieres July 2015. Lacob functions as the Executive in Charge of Production for “Tut,” the network’s most ambitious dramatic project to date. Lacob is also involved with other scripted projects currently in development at Spike including: "Red Mars," written by J. Michael Straczynski, "Emergency Broadcast,” produced by Legendary Television, "Deep Web," produced by Tony Krantz, "The Crusaders," produced by Mark Sennett and Pierce Brosnan, "Harvest," produced by Warner Horizon and Jerry Bruckheimer, and "War At The Shore," produced by Trigger Street.
Prior to joining Spike TV, Lacob served as Senior Director of Development at Intuitive Entertainment. There, he supervised development on several reality series, including “LA Shrinks” and “Love Broker” for Bravo, and a variety of projects for CW, Food Network, Animal Planet, Oxygen and Travel Channel. Prior to his stint at Intuitive, Lacob served as Director of Development at FremantleMedia for two years where he developed “Rock the Cradle" and “The Phone” for MTV, "The Osbournes: Reloaded" for FOX, “What Chili Wants” for VH1, among others. In addition, Lacob has extensive experience serving as a Producer, with credits on “America’s Next Top Model,” “The Sharon Osbourne Show,” “Supergroup” and “Next.”
Born and raised in Jericho, New York, Lacob graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
