Nicole oversees the development and current series for all unscripted programming at the network.  DeFusco is the creative executive behind the development of new concepts, innovative formats, and identifying strong talent for the network.  Select Executive Producer credits include the Emmy Award Nominated seriesThe Writers’ Roomas well asDream School,The Approval Matrix, the Critic’s Choice Award winningPush Girls, and the successful international formatAll on the Line with Joe Zee.

Prior to Sundance Channel, Nicole served as Director of Development and Original Series of scripted and unscripted series at FUSE where she developed and produced the highest rated series of the time, including Pants off Dance off.   She has also worked as a Creative Executive for Oxygen Network where she was responsible for the development and production of unscripted series in addition to scripted series and movies.

Nicole is an award winning documentarian as well as an Adjunct Instructor at New York University where she teaches courses in scripted and unscripted TV and film. She holds a B.A. in both Critical Studies of Cinema-Television and Broadcast Journalism from The University of Southern California where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is also an alumnus of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.
