Jean Shi is the Senior Director of Development for Oxygen Media. In this role, she is responsible for developing new programming for the network’s lineup of unscripted series.  Before joining Oxygen, Jean served as Vice President of Development and Co-Executive Producer for GRB Entertainment, where she created, developed and sold multiple shows including Pregnant & Dating (Wetv), Sex Sent Me to the ER (TLC), Model Killers (BIO), Fame In The Family (E!), and #Redflag (HLN).  Prior to GRB Jean was Director of Development for Lion Television. Based in the company’s Los Angeles office, Jean was instrumental in finding talent and spearheading new programming concepts for networks like MTV, E!, Discovery and others.  Before Lion, Jean worked on the production side of the business, both in the field and in post, earning Producer credits on numerous series, specials, and pilots for networks such as Fox, Discovery, Bravo, Travel Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, MTV, CMT, HGTV, and others. Having produced nearly 100 hours of programming in a variety of genres, Jean brings valuable hands-on experience to her current role.  Jean attended Stanford University, where she cut her teeth as a newsroom intern for the Fox affiliate, KTVU. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Jean began her career in the research department at Sony Pictures Television before transitioning into development with September Films USA.
