Angel Annussek is vice president of original programming and development for truTV. In this position, she works closely with Chris Linn, truTV's president and head of programming, and Marissa Ronca, senior vice president original programming and development on the network's expanding and highly successful slate of programming. Annussek is based in New York.
Annussek develops new series for the network with a focus on elevating and expanding the brand. She oversees production and content for her team’s original programming, including pilots, series and specials. Her current shows include the network’s first scripted single-camera comedy,Those Who Can’t,as well as the sketch showFriends of the People,thecomedic formatsThe Carbonaro Effect,Adam Ruins Everything (pilot),Six Degrees of Everything,docuseriesBreaking Greenvilleand the competition showFake Off.
Annussek joined truTV in September 2004, serving as executive producer on several real-crime series. She helped transition the network rebrand with the hit seriesOperation Repo,Black GoldandKiller Karaoke. Prior to joining the network, her freelance producer/director credits include the television specialSelf Portraitsfor Showtime Network, the feature-length documentary filmDouble Self-Portraitand more than two dozen veritè documentaries filmed in Uganda, Japan, France, Vietnam, Azerbaijan and inside Bill Clinton’s White House.
