Marisa Levy joined the TLC team in 2011. In her role, Marisa engages domestic and international production companies to create and develop cutting edge formats and original programs for the TLC audience, while acting as the primary development liaison between TLC and Discovery Networks International. During her time at TLC, Marisa developed hit shows My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Sex Sent Me To The ER, Extreme Cheapskates, Love Lust or Run, and I Found the Gown. Her upcoming projects include Save My Style and Bible Bee. Marisa began her career in television at Discovery Health Channel.

Prior to joining TLC, she served as VP of Sales & Development for the international production company Story House Productions.  Before entering the world of television, Marisa produced and directed independent documentaries. She holds an undergraduate degree from Rice University, a MA degree from the Hogeschool  vor de Kunsten, Utrecht in The Netherlands and studied towards a doctorate at the University of Cape
