Jim Berger is Chief Executive Officer of High Noon Entertainment.
In his role, Berger is charged with growing High Noon’s North and South American infrastructure through production and new initiatives. He oversees offices in Denver and Los Angeles that produce across all unscripted genres for broadcast and cable networks, both domestically and internationally, and manages a busy production slate that includes hit series such as Cake Boss (TLC), Dude, You're Screwed (Discovery), Next Great Baker (TLC), Trip Flip (Travel), Fixer Upper (HGTV) Polka Kings (Reelz), Mikie Saves the Date (FYI), Branson Cab (Reelz) and Prospectors (Weather).
In 2011, Berger launched High Noon Latino, a division primarily focused on developing and selling docuseries and formats to Latin American territories and the ever expanding U.S. Spanish language market. And, in the spring of 2013, Berger coordinated a strategic partnership with ITV, the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster and international producer, whereby ITV acquired a controlling stake in High Noon. As part of the ITV Studios US Group, High Noon has expanded its global reach and access to international distribution.
Prior to co-founding High Noon in 1997, Jim was on the executive staff at Liberty Media and served as President of TCI-owned Intro Television (19 million cable homes) where he supervised Liberty's holdings in emerging networks. Before that, Jim ran local programming and production for Denver’s NBC affiliate KUSA-TV where he co-created Discovery's top-rated mini-series How the West was Lost. He began his career at KUSA-TV as a television news cameraman and was named the western region's “Television Photojournalist of the Year” for three consecutive years by the National Press Photographers Association.
Berger earned his Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
