Hayley Dickson currently serves as the Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for the North American branch of FremantleMedia International’s Global Content Group. In this role she leads a team responsible for acquiring programming for international distribution, across all genres and platforms. She also manages first-look relationships and overall partnerships, as well as overseeing new business development. Most recently, Dickson was responsible for bringing together a partnership with AOL, which will see FremantleMedia International (FMI) serving as the global distributor forConnected, AOL’s first long-form series. She also oversees FMI’s relationship with WIGS, which brought Blue to the international marketplace with a linear television premiere on Lifetime in the UK. Additional significant acquisitions that Dickson oversees for FMI includeEye Candy,The Sixties, Half the Sky,Project Runway, Celebrity Apprentice, Tattoo Nightmares,Auction Hunters, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations,Lindsay, Catching HellandReal Girl’s Kitchen to name a few.
Along with the above acquisitions, Dickson was responsible for signing a first-look deal with Hulu for international distribution rights for Hulu’s original programming – a first of its kind deal for an online video company. In addition, previously she signed an overall partnership with Young Hollywood, one of the world’s largest producers of exclusive celebrity programming.
Prior to joining FremantleMedia International in 2011, Hayley was the Manager of Acquisitions for Shine International where she established the Acquisitions Department and oversaw all new business initiatives.
