John Feld is vice president of original programming and production for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country. In this role, he is responsible for developing and supervising specials, series and tent-pole events for these Scripps Networks Interactive-owned media brands.

Feld came to Scripps Networks from CMT, where he served as its director of programming and production for more than five years. Prior to that, he was director of field production forMartha Stewart Livingas well as the executive producer of political programming for the 2000New Hampshire Primaryon PBS. Feld began his career as a producer for the CBS daytime serialGuiding Lightbefore becoming the senior producer at Grinker & Company in New York City, where he oversaw the production of non-fiction projects for A&E, Disney Channel and others.

Feld is a graduate of DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and sciences. He currently lives in Franklin, Tenn., with his wife, Leigh, and their three sons, Ben, Noah and Owen.
