Sarah Davies is Vice President of Production and Development for Discovery Family Channel, a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro.

Davies is responsible for executing programming strategies through the production and development process, and serves as a key network executive, contributing to strategic planning, direction, and channel management.

Previously, Davies was Vice President of Production and Factual Development for Discovery Networks International. In this role, she was the chief liaison between development and production for Discovery Channel in the U.S. and their international counterparts across DNI’s five regional operations. Davies commissioned DNI landmark series such as HOW WE INVENTED THE WORLD, DEADLY ISLANDS and BEAR GRYLLS: ESCAPE FROM HELL.

Davies joined Discovery in March 2011 from the BBC, where she led the development of all factual genres of in BBC Whales for network TV. Davies is currently based in Discovery’s global headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
