Deirdre Gurney co-founded Gurney Productions with Scott Gurney in 2005.

She is an attorney and also an executive producer and the creative force behind Duck Dynasty, the runaway cable TV hit and most buzzed about show on television.  Her corporate background has been invaluable in strategically growing the company and negotiating contracts making Gurney Productions a leading full-service producer of large-scale returning series for networks in the U.S.

The company has developed and produced multiple shows, scripted TV movies and successful series for networks including A&E, ESPN, Discovery, Syfy, Spike, Animal Planet, The Weather Channel, Bio and Travel.  As they've expanded exponentially their slate has widened to also include MTV, CMT, TLC and VH1.

In addition to originating the docu-comedy genre with Duck Dynasty, Deirdre actively oversees a portfolio containing a breadth of genres such as natural history, science, factual and entertainment formats.  Hit shows also include Porter Ridge, Auction Hunters, Haunted Collector and American Digger, as well as specials and the ever-popular Shark Week on Discovery Channel.
