As a dedicated media professional engaging in TV production for more than one decade, Miss Yin has built up a strong track record. Once the youngest executive producer in SMG (Shanghai Media Group), she initiated the first-ever Star Charity program aired on Dragon TV, which has won her the highest award of TV art in China,  the Starlight Award, and the highest “China charity Award” in the meantime. Over the course of her career, Vivian has produced numerous programs, from large-scaled talent shows, live concerts, to factual entertainment and talk shows.

Since 2010, her interests have particularly focused on TV formats while producing China’s Got Talent(first season). In 2011, she was granted the Chevening Scholarship by the British FCO, and then spent a year and a half in London to pursue her master degree in Transnational Media, which gave her the opportunity to delve into the format industry more deeply. Drawing on her wide connections and rich experience in the industry, she finished her paper on “The Impact of the Transnational TV Format on the Chinese Television Industry” based on first-hand data and extensive interviews. Her argument and deep analysis in this paper were widely referred to in various academic seminars and professional panels in international TV festivals.

After her graduation, Vivian joined Star China International Media, now the leading media group in Asia, and is in position of chief representative in the UK and the deputy general manager. Apart from presiding over format acquisition, format development and other forms of international cooperation, she is also in charge of production of the company’s key projects through Starry Production. In 2013’s MIPTV in Cannes, Vivian was invited to be a panelist and gave a presentation on “How to format your program for the Chinese market” which attracted wide attention from the industry. She was also invited to be the guest in CCTV’s famous program “Dialogue”, sharing her perspective and insight on global formats.
