Patty has worked for more than 25 years in the international television business including MTV Europe, TV10, NPO, JE Entertainment, Endemol, IdtV, Initiative Media and Absolutely Independent.  She is the Founder and owner of Absolutely Independent since 1996, which has won several  international Awards for its formats, such as Find my Family and The Phone.

Patty is also a Chairman for the worldwide organization FRAPA (Format Recognition & Protection Association), and is a member of the Academy of Arts & Science (organization of International Emmy Awards).  She has been a jury member of the International Emmy Awards; Rose D’Or; Banff Festival; and TVLab, and has organised the semi-finals jury of the International Emmy Awards in Amsterdam.

In 2010 and 2011 Patty was named 1 of 10 most influential women in the media in the Netherlands (source Opzij Magazine 2010). She frequently lectures for the Entertainment Master Class, and is a frequent keynote speaker on several international events.  She is also a guest lecturer on Dutch Universities.
