Scott Gurney is the co-founder and executive producer of Gurney Productions, which he established in 2005 with Deirdre Gurney.  Together they have grown the company to become a leading full-service producer of large-scale returning series for U.S. networks. Scott's skills as a producer, director and editor have been invaluable in building the strong content output that Gurney Productions is known for.

Along with Deirdre, Scott created and is executive producer of A&E's mega hit series Duck Dynasty, which originated the docu-comedy genre.

Other genres the company has been successful with are natural history, science, factual and entertainment formats for networks such as A&E, ESPN, Discovery, Syfy, Spike, Animal Planet, The Weather Channel, Bio and Travel.  As the company has expanded exponentially their slate has widened to also include MTV, CMT, TLC and VH1.

Gurney Productions has developed and produced multiple shows, scripted TV movies and successful series such as Porter Ridge, Auction Hunters, Haunted Collector and American Digger, as well as specials and the ever-popular Shark Week on Discovery Channel.
